My background & lifestyle combined with a deep curiosity inspired me to become a yoga teacher. My yoga mat has provided me with endless opportunities to discover different aspects of myself that I wasn’t aware of before. I am able to leave behind what no longer serves me & go forth with a renewed sense of Self.
In 2009, I completed my 200-hr Corepower Power Yoga Teacher Training in Chicago. It was exciting, inspiring & incredibly transformative. I was able to deepen my own practice & connect with incredible people who were doing the same.
My training is in power yoga, also known as ashtanga or referred to as vinyasa yoga. It’s an invigorating practice that focuses on flowing through asanas (poses) while connecting breath to movement. Although that’s where my training lies, I personally enjoy dabbling in all different styles of yoga :) I’ve also grown to adapt yoga for individuals who have disabilities.
