Today the world lost an innovative spirit and extraordinary entrepreneur. Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple, impacted technology, and the world for that matter, in a manner that is beyond words. The empire that he was largely responsible for building is a testament to the passion and devotion that he had for his work. Everything he had a part in creating reflects that commitment.
At a 2005 commencement address at Stanford University, Jobs shared the philosophy that drove him.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
These words of wisdom resonate highly with ar-yoga. His intuition spoke loudly and he knew the truth in his heart- most importantly, he never turned his back on that (a challenge that is not easy to take on). He inspires us all to keep the faith and never settle. May he rest in peace & his legacy live on.
